Neighborhood Safe Speeds Bill in Senate
SHB 1217 - Neighborhood Safe Speeds Bill passed the House with unanimous support in January. Last Thursday, the bill had a hearing in the Senate Transportation Committee. Spokane City Councilmember Jon Snyder, former Secretary of Transportation Doug McDonald and Seattle City Councilmember Sally Clark delivered powerful testimony supporting it. Watch the hearing here.
Federal Transportation Update
Congress reacted to the onslaught of messages in favor of preserving biking and walking programs in the reauthorization of the federal transportation bill by delaying votes. It's not too late to take action. Read more.
