Exergy Joins USA Cycling as Official Sponsor
January 6, 2012
Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Cycling is pleased and proud to announce Exergy as an official sponsor of the sport’s national governing body.
In only two years, Exergy has become one of the most active and diverse sponsors in the sport of cycling with support of men’s and women’s teams as well as many events including the 2011 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships in Sun Valley, ID.
Exergy will activate its sponsorship through multiple USA Cycling platforms. They will have sponsor branding at all 17 national championship events with course signage and Exergy will be on the jerseys awarded to all national champions. Exergy will also be featured on the USA Cycling national team jerseys during international competition including the World Championships.
The relationship with Exergy was reached in conjunction with sports marketing and entertainment company Wasserman Media Group, which was retained by USA Cycling to assist in establishing greater sponsorship value and identifying potential partnership opportunities for the national governing body.
“Exergy has invested deeply in the sport of cycling and we are so pleased they have chosen to support USA Cycling,” said USA Cycling President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Johnson.
“Through this sponsorship, we are ensuring that our investments are continually being refined to bring value to the sport of cycling and a vision for improving its future”, said James Carkulis, President and CEO or Exergy Development Group.
