Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Durango Devo Sweet Elite MTB Team Announces 2012 Team Riders, Sponsors, and Team Manager

Durango, Colo. - After a successful 2011 racing season including numerous National Championships and a World Cup win, the Devo Sweet Elite are in full swing planning for 2012. The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Durango Devo Sweet Elite was formed in 2011 with a goal of promoting and supporting riders age 17-25 that are prepared to move to the next level of race competition. The team focuses on providing riders with coaching, management, equipment, and funding to travel and compete at a regional and national level. The Sweet Elite is an extension of the highly successful Durango Devo Youth Cycling Program that provides riders age 5-19 structured after school riding programs with an emphasis on creating life long cyclists.

The above riders all had successful 2011 seasons at the regional and national level.

Team Manager
Chad Cheeney will assume the Team Manager role for the 2012 Season. Chad is a co-founder of Durango Devo, a skilled cycling coach, and a well respected member of the cycling community.

The tentative team race schedule for 2012 will include a mix of local/regional and national events with a focus on the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic in Durango and the MTB Nationals in Sun Valley in July 2012.
