Meet Ryder Hesjedal
Welcome Ryder as he returns from a very successful year of professional cycling.

Victoria, B.C. – You are invited to join a celebration to welcome home professional cyclist Ryder Hesjedal from his phenomenal seventh place overall finish at the 2010 Tour de France. This is the best showing from a Canadian in 22 years, since Steve Bauer finished 4th in 1988.

Hesjedal will also unveil his participation in a new fundraising project called “Wheelmen Ride Bicycles,” an initiative designed to help support the development of young competitive male and female cyclists in Canada. Commemorative “Tourmalet T-shirts” are being offered in anticipation of the event and will be signed by Hesjedal. (See Attached PDF). Proceeds from the sales of the T-shirts will be donated to the Aviawest Cycling Society.

Autographed Shirts are $50 with 50% of all sales to go to the Wheelmen Ride Bicycles mission to support the development of young competitive cyclists in Canada through the Aviawest Cycling Society.
In addition, the Aviawest Cycling Society will have a special presentation for two local cyclists, Annie Ewart and Craig Logan, who represented Canada at the World Junior Cycling Championships in Offida, Italy earlier in August.
