Rebirth of Classic Cyclocross Race in Vancouver, Washington
David Douglas Cyclocross Race presented by Half Fast Velo

Come and experience the rebirth of a classic Crusade course in Vancouver. The course offers lots of fast flat grass sections, paved trails, gravel, forest single track, fast drop-in’s and a lung busting run-up.
Date – Saturday October 2nd, 2010
Venue Location – David Douglas Park, Vancouver, Wash.
Directions – From Portland (via I-5): Head north on I-5. At the north end of the Interstate Bridge take the first off ramp right (exit 1A) onto SR-14 east. . Head east on SR-14. Take the off ramp at Leiser Road (exit 4) and turn left at the end of the ramp. Head north on Leiser Rd. Turn left at E. Mill Plain Blvd. Head west and turn right at Garrison Road. David Douglas Park is ¼ mile on the left. Enter the last marked gate.
From Portland (via I-205): Head north on I-205. At the north end of the Glen Jackson Bridge take the first off ramp right (exit 27) onto SR-14 west. Head west on SR-14. Take the off ramp at Leiser Road (exit 4) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Head north on Leiser Rd. Turn left at E. Mill Plain Blvd. Head west and turn right at Garrison Road. David Douglas Park is ¼ mile on the left. Enter the last marked gate.

8:50 a.m. - Beginner Men, Unicycles (40 min)
9:40 a.m. - Men C, Clydesdale (45 min)
10:35 p.m. - *Break* / Course Preview (10 min)
10:45 a.m. - Master Men C 35+ (45 min)
11:40 a.m. - Master Men B 35+, Master Men 50+, Junior Men (45 min)
12:35 p.m. - **Kiddie Kross A & B (25 min)
1:00 p.m. - Men B, Single speed (45 min)
1:55 p.m. - *Break* / Course Preview (10 min)
2:05 p.m. - Women: Cat B, Beginners, Juniors, Master 35+(A & B), Master 45+ (45 min)
3:00 p.m. - Men A, Women A, Master Men A 35+ (60 min)
Kiddie Kross: A non-competitive event for those 12 and under. Modified course. This race is FREE. Parent/guardian must sign entry/release form.
Registration – Three ways to register:
1) Pre-registration: $25 per rider (Online Pre-registration closes September 29 at 5:00 p.m.)
2) Day of Race: $25/rider

Prizes
$320 Cash + Merchandise (Top 3 A’s get cash + Merch., Top 3 all other cats Merch. and glory.)
Volunteer Race entry will be waived in lieu of volunteer service provided. We need course marshals and people to help with set-up and tear-down.
Membership & Licenses - OBRA membership required for all riders. Single race memberships are available for $5.00. Season OBRA memberships are available for $10.00.
Race Numbers – We will be using Crusade numbers. So bring them if you picked one up at Hood River. If you don’t have one yet get it and save time before the first Crusade race.
Important Notes –
- Cyclocross rules in effect. Standard Bicycle racing rules apply. Approved helmets required at all times (including riding to and from registration, during warm-up, cool down, in your jeans, shorts, slippers) while at the venue. Failure to comply could result in disqualification. Course is closed for warm-up until clearance has been given by the chief judge and/or race director.
- No alcohol at the Park. This is city property and we do not want to lose this venue.
- Please do not ride on the softball fields.
- Please use the provided Port-a-Potties, not the bushes.
