Clean Bottle Gains Momentum
August 19, 2010
Portola, Calif. (August 12, 2010) - Demand for the Clean Bottle continues to skyrocket after a wildly successful "Bottle Boy" Tour de France promotion.
Temporary workers have been filling US Postal delivery trucks to the brim several times a day to fill orders, while retail outlets clamoring to stock Clean Bottle have doubled, and new distributors are being put on wait lists for the next production run of bottles.
Clean Bottle Founder Dave Mayer recently returned from the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, where nine out of ten attendees were pointedly aware of the Clean Bottle, and ready to stock them on their store shelves. Over 300 retailers now stock this new-to-market product, with more joining the list everyday.
Bottle Boy Promotion Exceeds Expectations
"I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my 'Bottle Boy' promotion," states Mayer. "Bottle Boy was mentioned on television twelve times during the Tour de France, and our online sales, Facebook followers, retail demand and brand awareness have gone absolutely through-the-roof!"
Online sales at www.cleanbottle.com went from $4k per month to over $60k during the month of July.
"I had to hire temporary workers to put in twelve-hour days to try to fill all of the orders we've been getting. Obviously many people identify with the problems that my bottle design addresses. I'm just happy that my gut instinct was right!" continues Mayer.
Retailers Expanding, Social Networks Growing
Since starting with Clean Bottle in only 40 stores, REI has recently decided to bring it to all 116 stores in the US, and is of course still featuring the Clean Bottle at www.REI.com.
Dave has kept a limited supply of Clean Bottle's in stock for direct orders.
