May 27, 2010
Brunswick, Maine (May 27, 2010) – Atayne celebrated the recent sales launch of its new men's and women's Grind Cycling Jerseys (made in the USA from 100% recycled polyester) by partnering with Freeport, Maine-based Dornbox Bikes to give away a handcrafted road bike valued at $4,500.
Members of the Atayne, cycling, and endurance sports communities can enter the Atayne + Dornbox Handcrafted Bike Giveaway Contest by visiting the contest microsite to register for a chance to win. The contest is also hosted on Facebook and there is a link to the contest microsite on Atayne's home page.
Once registered, contestants must upload a photo of themselves wearing Atayne. It can be any Atayne item, including Atayne's Grind Cycling Jersey, Grind T, or Trash T. Contestants may also upload a photo of themselves wearing Atayne branded apparel from any one of Atayne's custom partners including Bowdoin College, Friends for Matty, and Wilderness Running Company. One lucky person who submits a picture by July 4, 2010, at 11:59 a.m. EDT will be randomly selected to win the bike.
Contestants must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years of age. The official rules are available on the contest's web page.
The prize Dornbox performance road bike will be handcrafted in Freeport, Maine, to perfectly fit the winner's body proportions and riding style. Dornbox will pair the bespoke steel frame with a carbon fork and Sram components. The finished bicycle will provide transcendent performance and comfort - just like Atayne.
"Dornbox road bikes are exquisite, high-performance machines. We're excited to partner with a fellow Maine-based manufacturer that shares Atayne's love for living an active lifestyle," said Jeremy Litchfield, Atayne's founder and pacesetter. "Am I eligible to win this bike?" Litchfield added with a smile.
"Atayne is pioneering a new generation of socially-responsible U.S. manufacturers," said Christopher Dornbach, Dornbox's founder and bike builder. "Atayne's commitment to eco-friendly practices is unmatched. Atayne shares Dornbox's philosophy of listening to what its customers want and really engaging them in the design and marketing process," said Dornbach. "I can't wait to handcraft this bike for an Atayne fan!"
