Important Bills are Another Step Closer to Passing

Thanks to all you bike advocates, BAW is another step closer to passing two bills.
SB 6345, which will make texting and handheld cell phone use while driving a primary offense, had a hearing in the House Transportation Committee yesterday. They need your help to move it out of committee and to the House floor for a vote.
Please contact your legislator right away, especially those on the House Transportation Committee and ask them to vote yes on SB 6345.The link to the call to action can be found at www.votervoice.net/groups/drivenwww.votervoice.net/groups/driven

SHB 3001, which will incorporate bicycle and pedestrian safety education into traffic school curriculum, had its hearing in the Senate Transportation Committee this week as well. Help move it to the House floor for a vote!
Please contact your Senator ASAP if they sit on the Transportation Committee and ask them to vote YES on SHB 3001.
