Nominate Your Bike Hero for an Alice Award
February 9, 2010
On Saturday, June 5, at the Alice Awards & Auction, the Bicycle Transportation Alliance will honor people who have made a contribution to bicycling in communities around Oregon.
Has an individual, business, government agency or community group you know provided inspiration to cyclists, made biking safer or easier, or helped make bikes a part of the fabric of your community? Nominate that person today !
The Alice B. Toeclips Awards are given to activists, educators and advocates who go above and beyond the call of duty to make their communities more bike friendly. You can nominate professionals, volunteers, community members, and elected officials; groups or individuals; businesses, non-profits, or agencies; basically anyone who has done great work for bikes!
- Nominations are due by March 31, 2010. Former winners are not eligible to win again.
- Provide a description of at least 100 words detailing why this person or organization deserves an Alice Award. Do not assume that the nominations committee knows the accomplishments of your nominee. The committee will make its decision based on the information you provide.
- The number of times a person is nominated is not a factor in selection. You may re-nominate someone but make sure to tell us something special about them!
- Questions? Email Margaux or call 503-226-0676 x28 for more information.
