"BIKE SAVER" Invention Keeps Bicycles from Rusting Away

December 3, 2009

Pittsburgh, Pa. — One night in the rain can prove to be pretty rough on a bicycle. For those who store their bicycles outdoors, fighting rust buildup is a constant battle. If not sheltered in some way, bicycles that are left to the elements will meet an early demise. Aware of this ongoing struggle, two inventors from Columbus, Ga., have created a solution. As one inventor puts it, "I was inspired by watching my children's and grandchildren's bikes become damaged by the weather. I ended up having to buy them new bicycles almost every Christmas." Not wanting to bear this expense, they created the BIKE SAVER.

This idea keeps a bicycle from rusting or becoming damaged due to harsh weather. Easy to use, it provides for easy transport of a bicycle in a vehicle or on a rack. It features a durable, weather-resistant design that will not scratch or damage the bicycle. Also, it is producible in a variety of colors.

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
