Clear2Go™ Invites Fans to Win a Ride with World Champion Cyclist Lance Armstrong
October 26, 2009
Miramar, Fla. - Who dares to believe they can keep up with seven-time Tour de France winner, Lance Armstrong, on a bike? Well the people behind Clear2Go, the sports water bottle with a replaceable filter, are giving would-be cyclists around the country the opportunity to do just that.
From October 26 through December 7, 2009, fans, amateur spinners and fitness buffs can enter for a chance to win a one-on-one bike ride with Lance Armstrong in his hometown of Austin, Texas by going to www.Facebook.com/C2GoRideWLance and entering the "Ride with Lance Sweepstakes." Participants can earn additional entries by uploading photos of themselves in keeping with the sweepstakes rules and photo entry themes explained on Facebook.
The grand prize winner and a friend will receive an all expense paid trip to Austin where the winner will get a personal bike ride with Lance and their very own TREK® bike to ride and keep.
"Working with Lance on the launch of Clear2Go this year has been such a positive experience for us," says Stu Levitan, general manager at Applica Consumer Products. "Everywhere we go consumers ask us about what he's like, so we thought let's give them a chance to find out in a way that encourages health and fitness."
Armstrong, who helped design the Clear2Go bottle, relishes the time he gets to spend with fans. "I love to spend time with my fans and fans of cycling in general. It's good for the sport. This ride is going to be fun and maybe a little bit rigorous," jokes Armstrong. "I just hope the winner is ready."
