Ride4US - Vashon Island Edition

F9/25

Road Touring
Tacoma, WA

Heart-Pounding Hills, Breath-Taking Scenery. Three scenic, safe and very challenging routes that begin and end in Point Defiance Park. Enjoy coffee & bananas on the ferry before launching on a tour of the scenic vistas of Vashon Island for 30, 40 or 50 km (19, 25 or 31 miles). The 30 km ride is the least challenging with two long but not too steep climbs and a rewarding coffee stop 4 miles before catching the return ferry. The 40K route features almost 1800' of climbing and two rest stops. Those interested in the 50K course, will endure almost 3,000' of lung-busting, leg-searing hills and be rewarded with spectacular views from the North end of the island before speeding along the shores of Commencement Bay to a well-deserved break. This ride is fully supported with SAG vehicles, 2 rest stops and free massages. Ferry fees and tee shirt included. Ferries leave at 7:35, 8:25 and 9:15. Courses open at 7:30 am and close at 12:00; music, food & massages end at 2:00 pm. Cost: $40 thru AUG 31. $50 after.
