2009 Hercules Roadster by TI India
This bicycle was purchased new in India in 2009. It is the modern continuation of the classic British roadster. It has 28 inch wheels with rod brakes. The cottered crank was replaced with a modern unit that actually works, and the saddle and post were replaced with a beautiful sprung Brooks. Try counting the number of spokes without losing interest. Ring that bell if you dare; try not to alarm those standing nearby. Picture yourself cruising respectfully upright for a cup of coffee and locking this bike with the integrated wheel lock. Check out those frame angles and fork rake; let's just say this bike is not twitchy.

Custom Bicycle Renewal
Rosebud Bicycle Builds provides a passionate and individualized approach to you and your bicycle that transcends the scope of a traditional bike shop's capabilities. Your new or used bike will undergo our noted 20-hour "Renewal" program. The bare frame and fork will be measured on a laser table for alignment and corrected to tolerance. Next, the frame and fork’s inner dropout faces will be laser-measured as a complete unit then machined to match front/rear for flawless wheel tracking. All bearing interfaces will be machined to precise parallel. All threads will be chased for smoother than new condition. If the frame is steel, it will receive an internal rust-proof treatment. All painted surfaces will undergo a 5-step polish and wax and finished with Zymol's rarefied "Concours" formula. If the frame is uncoated "brushed-titanium", the dropouts and chainstay will be mirror polished and remaining surfaces re-brushed to like-new condition. All components will be completely disassembled, ultra-sonically cleaned, reconditioned with Swiss lubricants derived from watch-making and Formula 1, then reassembled with ABEC-5 grade bearings and tightened to the manufactures' exact torque specifications. Wheels will be recalibrated to perfectly symmetric spoke tensions with DT Swiss' digital spoke tensionometer. This coveted tool sends its measurements to custom wheel analysis software that unquestionably confirms when a wheel is built to its full potential. After your bicycle's renewal is completed, I'll analyze your riding position with an initial stationary session, followed by the "revolutionary technique" of going for a ride together to fine-tune your particular style and pedaling nuances. Please note: This not a bike shop "overhaul". You are bidding on a precise and highly-personalized experience that has made a noted difference in many cyclists' appreciation for the way their bike should properly function, perform and feel. Sarah Young has been drawing since before she can remember. She studied fine arts in painting and drawing at UW, and her background has most extensively been with oils and acrylics. Sarah is fascinated with the two-dimensional design principles of Native northwest coast art, and enjoys exploring their vast possibilities for representing movement in nature.
